You can submit requests now, but any temporary loan with a start date before November 15 will be automatically denied. Please choose a start date on or after November 15.

Request Equipment for Your Library

Laptop kits, projectors, and OWL video conferencing devices are available to every public library in Illinois at no cost. One form covers both temporary and long-term loans. The process is the same no matter which library system you belong to.


Sign in with your L2 account

Open the Device Loan Request Form. The form is limited to library staff, and your library's details fill in automatically.

Choose your loan type

Temporary or long-term.

Select your equipment and dates

Choose the equipment and quantities you need (laptop kits, projectors, OWL devices). Then select your loan start and end dates (temporary loans: November 15 or later).

Tell us how you'll use it

For temporary loans: a sentence or two is plenty (a class series, one-on-one help, an event, or extra in-library computing).


For long-term loans: provide information about community need (for example, the poverty rate, ESL, seniors, or households without home internet), your training plans, and where devices will be stored and charged.
